Anti-Shock SFX Mod by Jintao

Requires Tribunal

Decreases the volume of certain sound effects, especially battle sound effects, to avoid the 2x volume bug that occurs when actions done more than once cause a sudden jump in volume as sound effects overlap.

Atmospheric Sound Effects (Alternate Download Link) by Duncan

This mod adds over 220 sound effects to the entire land of Vvardenfell. There are 13,621 emission points in exterior locations, 283 points in taverns for sound effects, 20 for music, and 180 inside Daedric shrines. Most sounds are randomly picked, play at random time intervals, and are controlled by weather conditions and day/night cycles. In swampy areas, at night, you'll hear crickets only when it's clear or cloudy. Frogs ribbit in all but thunder, ash, or blight storms. Three types of owls hide in thunder, ash, or blight storms, while three more types of owls come out only in clear or cloudy conditions. During the day, you'll hear a wide assortment of swampy sounds, 26 in all with 5 random pitch variations each, coming from the ground and trees. Other regions have a similar setup but with their own unique sounds.

Bones by Qarl

Simple little mod that puts bone-like sounds in for the footsteps of skeletons, for added atmosphere (and also so you can hear them coming!).

Expanded Sounds by Piratelord

Sound mod that was based off of ASE with major changes: volume adjustments to regular tasks so that they are less annoying (i.e. lockpicking); has fewer FPS hitting scripts; makes sounds more interactive (i.e. rope bridges and docks only creak when you or a NPC walk on them); includes interior weather effects; gives plants their own sounds; makes Dwemer Machines audible outside; makes adjustments to ambient sound; adds dependencies on time and weather to sounds. Patches for Herbalism Redux and Herbalism for Purists available.

Fatigue Effects by Leon 'pancreas' Medado

Adds a new panting and heart beating sound effect when your character becomes fatigued. Adds a ratio system that calculates your current fatigue level as a percentage of your maximum number of fatigue points, which is tied to the volume and pitch of the sound. The sound gets louder and faster as your PC gets more tired and vice versa. There are 7 different fatigue sounds to choose from. Some are race-specific while one is meant for PCs wearing full masks. Also, when you're very close to the highest level of fatigue, your vision will slowly darken to simulate "seeing stars" due to the lack of oxygen going to your head.

Kirel's Interior Weather by Kirel

Requires Tribunal and Bloodmoon

Allows you hear the exterior weather from inside buildings. Adds weather sound effects to interior cells both from the stock game and from any mod without the need for patches or editing. Fully customizable within the game.

Light Sounds by Leon 'pancreas' Medado

Adds more sounds to the various illuminating objects in Morrowind in order to express a greater sense of ambience. Features two new sounds and two previously unheard ones that was shipped with the game.

Magic Sound Effects Replacement by Lucypher

This mod replaces the original magic sounds with new and improved ones.

Morrowind Sound Enhancement by Leon 'pancreas' Medado

Does the following: adds 29 new region-specific ambient sounds, including birds, crickets, and swamp life; adds stereo ambient loops for different types of weather and sound IDs for all thunder sounds (requires editing of Morrowind.ini); improves dynamics and quality of current feet, environment, combat, and magic sounds; implements most sounds that came with the game but weren't used, adds unique footstep sounds for EACH Atronarch and Undead creature, new flapping sounds for winged creatures; adds more intense magical bolt sounds, improves sound effects for magics commonly used to cause damage to a target; adds new high quality swooshing and punching, more foley effects for armor hit sounds and various samples of gore to damage and critical hit sounds.

Replacement Sounds for Kirel's Interior Weather by Gwilym

Requires Kirel's Interior Weather by Kirel

Replaces sounds for Kirel's Interior Weather with new ones that aim to make weather heard indoors match what's happening outside more closely, and to better simulate the effect that shelter has on the sound of weather. Also adds a new Ghostfence sound. Recommended for use with the 'Louder Sounds' version of Kirel's Interior Weather.

Sotha Sound (Direct Download Link) by PCC aka Blockhead

Requires Tribunal

This tiny plugin makes the ambient sound for Sotha Sil less annoying.

Swiveller's Immersive Sounds for Morrowind (Alternate Download Link) by Mr Swiveller

This mod aims to provide a rich and engaging sound experience which has little, if any, impact on game performance, even on lower-end machines. It does this by using the 'ambient sound function' built into Morrowind to play rich, high-quality audio files which were recorded in outdoor environments in Southern and Western Europe. In addition, the mod provides MP3 recordings of various animals which can be used instead of the game's music files. If combined, the ambient sound files and MP3's provide varied soundscapes whose realism is further enhanced by the unpredictable nature of the MP3 play order. Expect to hear varying combinations of blackbirds, coots, donkeys, woodpeckers, rustling leaves, and a large variety of other natural sounds.

Swiveller's Immersive Sounds: MP3 Expansion Pack (Alternate Download Link) by Mr Swiveller

This mod adds the sounds of fifteen animals to Morrowind. While this is intended as an expansion pack for version 1.1 of the Swiveller's Immersive Sounds Morrowind mod, it can also be used as a standalone music replacer or add-on. Eleven of the recordings were made in Europe and Asia Minor; the other recordings were made in the Indian subcontinent.
