Answers to frequently asked Morrowind questions. Most do not directly relate to mods.

Creeper has 5000 gold. The Mudcrab Merchant has 10000 gold. There is a trader in the Zainab camp with 9000 gold. There are merchants in Mournhold with 5000-10000 gold.
To sell high priced items, you need to creatively barter. For example, a merchant has 5000 gold, and you're selling a 50000 gold item. Sell the 50000 gold item, buy back 45000 gold worth of items. Rest 24 hours. Sell the 45000 gold worth of items back 5000 gold at a time, resting 24 hours in between each batch. You'll eventually get 50000.
Each cell can contain 1024 items on the PC version, 256 on the Xbox. After that, items over the limit will be placed in an immobile "loot bag" that cannot be removed without using the console.
Without using the console, exploiting, or abusing glitches, the maximum level falls around 60-70. The actual legitimate maximum, if you plan your character well, is 78. If you want to use the console, exploit, or abuse glitches, the maximum level is 65535.

In...Lower Arkngthand. You probably opened it already while you were down there originally with a lockpick or a spell. There is nothing interesting down there anyway.
Attributes are damaged or drained. Drain has a duration, Damage does not. To restore either, use Restore <Attribute> spells or potions, or visit a Tribunal or Imperial shrine/temple.
You must go to an armorer and either pay him to repair your equipment, or buy a repair item (apprentice's hammer, journeyman's hammer, master's hammer, etc). After you have bought them, go to your inventory, pick it up and drop over the picture of your character, then click on the icons of the equipment. You should only try to repair your gear (using those items) if you have a good armorer skill, or if you want to train it.
It comes with the expansions, the latest patch, a different paper map, a manual addendum, and a better price deal.
MW FPS Optimizer (MWFPSO) allows you to increase the draw/view distance above the normal maximum.

First, you can tweak the ingame options. Turn AI Distance, View Distance, and Screen Resolution down. Next, there are some external programs you can try. All can be easily found via Google.
Morrowind FPS Optimizer (MWFPSO): Tries to normalize framerate, which it can accomplish by reducing view distance below the normal minimum and by hiding visually small objects. Also has some other options including N-Patching, in-menu mouse lag reduction, and view distance increase.
Timeslip's Morrowind Graphics Extender (MGE): An external program that adds lots of graphics options by modifying Morrowind's DirectX calls. Includes anti-aliasing, Z-buffering, render mode changes, full-screen shaders, fog options, and the ability to interact with MWSE for control of MGE's options via scripting. More useful for tweaking and stability than performance increase.
Also, look into the Low Fat Graphics Pack. It decreases the size of the texture files by up to 75% while keeping a good amount of detail. This affords a sizable speed increase. There is also a Low Fat Audio Pack.
You installed the expansions in the wrong order. Morrowind --> Tribunal --> Bloodmoon is the correct order.

If you grab the key, you can quite obviously free the slaves. Of course, you don't ever have to pick up the key, and after freeing all the slaves connected to that key, you're more than welcome to get rid of it. It serves no purpose, but also weighs nothing, so it's up to you whether you want to pile them somewhere, drop them all over the place, keep them in a box, collect them in your inventory, etc.
As to what you should do? Entirely up to you and how you are roleplaying your character. If you're roleplaying a nice guy, well, it only makes sense to free the slaves. If you're a villain, well, screw the slaves, sucks for them, pick up the key and leave it outside the gate, just outside their reach, to taunt them as they slowly die of thirst and hunger because you've killed their captors who were keeping them alive. And if you aren't roleplaying, well, it's entirely up to what you feel like doing. You'll get a reputation bonus if you free them, and no penalty if you don't.
Basically, what you do is up to you and no other.
Your alchemy skill is not high enough. Every 15 points of alchemy skill allows you to see one more effect. 15 is one, 30 is two, 45 is three, 60 is four.
You are most likely typing it incorrectly. Make sure you are typing it exactly as it should be. If the code has a target, make sure you have either clicked the target with the console open, or have included "Target ID"-> before the code. If the code requires an object ID, make sure you have that ID correct. IDs with spaces require quotes around them.

If your computer is running Windows Media Center 2005, and you are having problems using the console (~) key ingame, you need to just unplug the Remote Infared sensor. Apparently, it screws with the keyboard, or uses a number of keyboard like functions (well, it has a digital keypad keyboard through the WMC interface). You do not have to uninstall anything, just pull the USB Remote Control Sensor's cable out.

A bug that prevents your unarmored skill from working unless you have at least one piece of armor equipped. Many people like to use a cloth bracer for their piece of armor. You could also try using
Unarmored Corrector by DinkumThinkum, which equips an invisible helm to "fix" the bug.
You can join every guild and faction. You can only join one Great House. There are a few conflicts between some factions and guilds, but they can be avoided or worked around.

You can only join one Great House. You are told as much when you apply for one. Other than that, it is possible to join and "complete" all other factions/guilds. The only real conflict is between the Thieves' Guild and the Fighter's Guild. Avoiding it is just a matter of completing one before the other.
You could kill people important to quests. If you kill someone important to the main quest
, you will get a warning telling you that. If you kill someone important to any other quests, you will not
get that message.

As a general rule, killing someone who isn't attacking you or whom you are not on a mission to kill is a bad idea. It all comes down to common sense, really. If you want to go on a killing spree, make an alternate save just for that purpose. It is possible to "break" the main quest by killing the wrong NPC, but as long as one certain NPC remains alive, there is always a way to finish it.

Exit the Fighters' Guild. Turn left and exit Balmora. Turn left past the Silt Strider and cross both bridges. Continue straight until you come to a crossroads- you should see a fort in front of you. Turn left. Now, look carefully on your right for a path going uphill. I think there might even be a signpost. It isn't far, you should still be able to see the fort. Go up the path. If you're in the right place, you should see a bridge of metallic construction. Cross the bridge, kill the man at the end. After the bridge, turn to the right a little and look for a crank on the side of a pipe on your left. Turn the crank and the doors up the hill should rotate open.

Look for a big huge bridge near Fort Moonmoth (follow the road southeast from Balmora) and cross it, looking for those ruins.

Yes/No. If you have the Tribunal expansion, the smith in the Craftsmen's Hall will build armor for you. Otherwise, it's just more stuff to sell or use to make potions.

Don't sell it. It is part of a quest (Thieves guild). If you don't plan on joining, use it. Beware its adverse effects, however.
They can only go up to 100, base. You can raise them above 100 with Fortify spells or items. There are also a few mods which remove the caps, or let you go above 100.

Nope.
Morrowind --> Tribunal --> Bloodmoon --> Bloodmoon patch. If you are using the GotY edition, the patch is already included, but you still need to go in the same order. If you went Morrowind --> Bloodmoon --> Tribunal, then reinstall Bloodmoon. Incorrect installation order will result in
this error.
Click Options on the Morrowind Launcher.
Each Dunmer stronghold has a Propylon chamber and a Propylon index. You can teleport from stronghold to stronghold with the appropriate Propylon index. There is an official mod from Bethesda that includes a "quest" to get each index to combine them into a "Master Index."
Sneak into his house without him noticing you. There is a trapdoor on the roof that may be useful for that. Once inside, "activate" the cauldron with all** of the tainted leaves in your inventory.
No. As NPCs in the area say, you should not kill any of the "patients." Doing so hurts your chances of completing the main quest.
There are three methods. The first is to pay your fine to a guard. The second is to go to jail. The third is to join the Thieves' Guild, where you can pay a lower price to have your fine removed. Note that if your bounty ever exceeds 5000 gold, a death warrant will be placed on you, and guards will continue to attack you from that point forward.

The ShowHide function doesn't seem to work for me in Firefox 1.5, works fine with IE 6 and Opera 9. Is it just me?

In the lower left there is an option to turn Wiki Javascript on/off. I guess it's specific to each user. PBWiki added that option after that page was made, so I guess I should put a note about that on the page.

Okay, made a little note. Eventually, I'll make a non-Javascript version of that page for people who like to browse with it disabled. Someone else could it, if they're bored. Other stuff is more important at the moment, really.
