Aegis Armor by IcyShadows

Vhaeos

Category: Armor

Date Reviewed: February 14 2006

Review: Well, I downloaded this as part of the TEScreens.be project. The armor its self actually looks somewhat nice. It's really too bad that IcyShadows didn't decide to put a bit more into the mod. It probably would've stayed on my computer if the armor had a small quest, or something like that, to obtain it. But, instead, the armor is just laying on the ground. (In Sedya Neen, and The Mournhold Temple Courtyard.) Also, for just laying on the ground, the armor is quite good, as far as stats go. I'm not saying it's unbalanced, just too easy to get. So, in conclusion, the armor doesn't look bad, it's just too easy to get. A screenshot can be found here.

Argonian Helmet by Jade_Elixir, Phijama, AnOldFriend, and The_Inwah

Category: Armor

Date Reviewed: February 15 2006

Review: Another mod downloaded as part of the TEScreens.be project. The helmet may not be very extravagant or exciting, but it fits Argonians well, as it should. It could certainly use a better texture, but the model is pretty solid. The acquisition of the helmet could also be a bit better; it is just laying in Alusaron the smith's shop in Vivec, Foreign Quarter Plaza, and you don't even have to buy or steal it. It's just free for the taking. Simply making it a purchase would have been better. A quest or search for the helmet would also be good.

Ruins of Vvardenfell by DeusXMachina

Galahaut

Category: Splash Screens

Date Reviewed: January 5 2006

Review: I can never have enough splash screens, so this mod was pretty much an instant download. When I first saw it, I was just expecting some good, but simple, screenshots of ruins. But, I was surprised by the unique idea DeusXMachina had. Rather than simply having the usual no GUI, no cursor shots with either a simple frame or no frame, she framed each shot in a Daedric gate. Doing that created a pretty interesting framing effect while at the same time tying together all the individual shots even more than they already were. The download and screenshots can be found in the splash screens category of the Wiki.
